Chalet I forgot to ask you where you got your information that the Boeing 747 fuel system is 'atop' the fuselage. In fact it is in the center section of the wing below the fuselage.
Indeed, I should have said below the body.
WHAT? Somebody is going to be honest here? First class chalet. First class.
OK thanks John.
Not only all that, it was documented by a retired Soviet Colonial that stated the Soviets even used an electric razor to fake radio calls to the airliner. The Soviets knew for a fact that they were lining up on an unarmed civilian airliner with the intent to shoot it down. SOBz they are....
Just graduated & recieved my Army Commission. Was sent to Korea after Basic Course & have always felt this was a reason why. Not complaining, just an observation, I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could.
What does this have to do with the current topic?
It happened near Korea and involved a Korean plane?
Why didn't The Frontal Aviation pilot could have got closer or enough that it's a civilian airliner. He squeezed off a few canon shells to alert the pilots they had violated Russisan Airspace. Instead of doing that he blew kit out of the sky.
If it was nighttime in weather, that's not the time for even the best pilot, let alone one under very strict ground control, to find and then fly close formation with another aircraft.
Siriuloon you obviously haven't flown much close formation. I have. I have 600 hours of formation and there is no truth to your statement that the best of pilots can't find an aircraft in weather and fly formation at night in weather. Maybe you could tell me how much time you have in formation? Please.
