If you add up the lawsuits from the families of hundreds of dead passengers and crew members and the compensation sought by the airlines for the crashed and grounded aircraft, it's going to be a lot more than $800 million when it is all said and done.

They have insurance. Insurance will pay most of the settlements.

Don’t worry President Trump will just give them a small loan of 1 billion dollars...

How much did the US Government give the smaller automakers so people could keep their jobs?

I dunno.. how much did the US Government give the major airlines to have their people keep their jobs, while letting other airlines fail?

I seem to recall UAL, COA, and DAL getting hundreds of millions to stay up, while Congress let the non-legacy carriers burn.

How much would my head cost if it was veal?

That isn't exactly very healthy for Boeing at the current time.

No, but considering they are the 2nd biggest western plane maker and the only one is US... yeah you will see them hang around, at most they will get slapped on the waist by the US gov and patched up using tax payer money

But they should get rid off someone higher up before the gov will come bail them out... possibly the COO or the CEO for this 737MAX mess...

They will get through this of course,,just dont like the fact that they were doing 'self inspections and approvals'....very shaddy...FAA needs to cert regardless of costs.
