Bombardier chief calls out industry criticism of CSeries

Soumis

Linking the CSeries to the invention of the 50-seat regional jet, chief executive Alain Bellemare told an audience of high-ranking executives that Bombardier’s high-stakes bet on the 100-150-seat jet market will be vindicated, even as called on his industry rivals to refrain from criticizing innovative projects. Nothing more than him saying what is true and without all of the government backing with taxpayer money it would be gone by now and everyone out of work.

It may well be a great aircraft, but companies need to produce, market and back a product that they sell. I don't agree with the premise that the company pays some of the cost and then the taxpayer pays the rest. I receive nothing from Bombardier's success but pay most of the overhead. I also, dislike the way the US military contractors do business the same way. Pathetic!

Bombardier has written off 500 million US dollars, after Delta Airlines 75 units of the C series ordered. If that money is used to offer a lower price for Delta Airlines, these are therefore applicable taxes (The Canadian government has given 2 billion subsidy) used to win orders. Then we are on the wrong path and can better give the money in Canada to their residents, so they can them on holiday, on Delta airlines.
