Frontier Shopping For Thinner Seats To Further Increase A320 Capacity

Soumis

Frontier Airlines is in search of a thinner seat to enable the low-cost carrier to increase capacity on its 60 Airbus A320-family aircraft. The airline expects to place an order for new seats this year, Senior VP-Commercial Daniel Shurz said in an interview at the Low-Cost Airlines World, Americas, conference last week in Miami. I wonder if the thinner seat cushions will float any better on water...you know, "...and in case of a water landing, your seat cushion can be used as a flotation device....(really?)"

I actually like the slimline seats I've sat in, especially the ones on the new AA B738's that recline the seat cushion forward rather than the seatback backwards, impinging on the space of the person behind you.

The current F9 seats are a bit bulky and actually probably reduce total leg room.

they need to sale to vx, who needs to liquidate F9, keep the A320/ 319s to increase the route network of vx. But get rid of all the F9 employees, culture, hubs, anything F9.

Frontier didn't work the first time they made it, it isn't looking very good for the second time.

I am a Frontier pilot and I don't appreciate that comment. Remember who you're audience is on here.
