KC-46A's Long-Troubled Vision System Can’t Even Reliably Show The End Of The Refueling Boom

That means that, on a cloudy day, boom operators sometimes have to rely simply on past experience in the role to achieve a successful ‘hookup’ with a thirsty aircraft. Monochrome display? Is this 1957? If this is going to be human operated, there should be high resolution cameras with flat field fast lenses and a left eye/right eye display adjusted for the dimensions of each user. Step it up! We cannot allow the military to use systems created by Fisher-Price.

what's next??? boeing still has the same hangers-on populating the board of directors, and we all hear the pep-talk of the day from the clown ceo. Performance penalties should be assessed and collected whenever applicable, delaying any breakeven point.I defer to rick wernicke on the particulars of fixing the system, but at the end of the day the system offered will be vouched for by Boeing.
