Air Canada Boeing 787 Strays Off Of Taxiway Into Mud

Soumis

The aircraft, a Boeing 787-9 registered as C-FVLU, was not carrying passengers at the time of the incident – which would have been during the early morning hours of December 20th. While the aircraft wasn’t carrying passengers at the time, it was likely on its way to the terminal. (simpleflying.com) Plus d'info...

It was the maintenance crew taking the aircraft from the maintenance hangar to the terminal that did it. They don't need a "license" to taxi an aircraft. They'll probably get some additional training in ground handling however.

Wow, 3 incursions in 1 day; Spirit, Lion Air, and now this. Driving lessons required as well as Commercial license?

How did this happen on a dry taxiway? They they "gun" the engines and got surprised when they finally spooled-up?

Why not use a tug from hangar to terminal ?

Just wondering if it could be the same crew that did the run up of the ex Ward Air, Airbus A310, and then hit the hanger in Vancouver.
