Don't want to seem crass, but 90 pax, pretty light load but then again, kt is AI!

That was my main concern as well. Followed by "why couldn't the plane continue to London with 3 out of 4 engines"?

Only two engines on that series of planes. Anyone know if there was weather issues at LHR? I know there was reported wind issues at AMS.

Thanks! What was I thinking! Confused the 787-8 with the 747-8...

That's why I like 4 engines

Never have crossed an Ocean on two engines. Hope WE never have to!

Half as many things to go wrong. Many crossings in 767.

Boeing must be regretting selling aircraft to Air India...they seem to have as many problems as all the other customers combined.

Eagles are known to fly at 40,000'

Gee, I wonder what they breathe?? No oxygen at 40K feet.

They breathe the same thing that these jet engines breathe. Where do you think the "oxygen ends", anyway?

Bulldust the highest flying bird is the Ruppell’s Griffon Vulture recorded at 37,000ft but nowhere near Germany/Frankfurt. Any Eagle has never surpassed around 15,000ft

Gee Wiz, all the reports of engine shutdowns, but no followup reports of the root cause of the failures. Is there a site to check for any resolution reports?
