This was a scheduled flight from Washington-Dulles (IAD) to London-Heathrow (LHR). Don't know any other details at this point. (flightaware.com) Plus d'info...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Only there just over three hours. Barely time to enjoy a little Screech and a few Cod Tongues.

I was on a British airways B772 about 5 years ago from London to Houston and we did the same thing. A guy on our flight had a heart attack in the middle of the Atlantic. We had to dump a lot of fuel before we could land (I have a pretty cool video somewhere). We spent about 2.5 hours on the ground they had to refuel and we were told that we could not take off again until all of the guys luggage was off of the plane, it took them awhile to find it. At one point I remember looking out the window and seeing the tarmac covered with everyones luggage.

55 minute stop probably for fuel. Common on the East to West 752 flights when there are big headwinds or if there is going to be a delay at the destination airport. Other popular stops: Goose Bay, St John's or Halifax.
