I guess Boyd will tell us for sure but I was a thinkin' that earlier post was that they were planning this, Not that they had. Either way, they have. Now I wonder just why they are saying this is for research. Carrier operations are common knowledge worldwide. Training, getting ready to whup up on somebody is a more apt description. IMHO

I guess they got to stay up with Japan. You watch, something will break out back over in that part of the world before long. It's been too quiet since 'Nam.

In this video it shows China landing a fighter jet on a carrier for the first time...There is no commentary but notice as the jet departs the ship how the deck slopes upward.
