Couple of feet further aft and it could have been disastrous.
Reminds me of the lady who lived not too far from me in NYC who heard a thump and found an entire wheel from a jet inbound to JFK (I lived almost exactly 4 miles from the threshold of 13 L) in her yard. This was back in the 60s
