A VivaColombia Airbus A320-200, registration HK-5051 performing flight 5Z-8023 from Bogota to Medellin (Colombia) with 160 people on board, was climbing out of Bogota's runway 13R when the right hand engine (CFM56) emitted a loud bang and streaks of flame prompting the crew to stop the climb at 13,000 feet, shut the engine down and return to Bogota for a safe landing on runway 13L about 20 minutes after departure.
