Its sad to see any aircraft have an accident, but to see an Embraer go down, breaks my heart. I am just glad everyone walked away from this incident with minor injuries.

Interesting how they don't put any information about this event on their website, even under the recent news section. Trying to keep their accident record a secret from potential customers i guess.

I've got several friends who crew Phenom 100's. They all hate the aircraft noting high approach speeds, lack of thrust reversers and a weak breaking system. They all claimed that it was just a matter of time before something like this happened. Glad all got away without serious injuries.

Doug, not sure where you are getting your information. The Phenom VRef speed is 95 knts, hardly fast. Also, there are a lot of small airplanes that don't have TR's Cessna CJ series, Beech Premier, Etc. All of which are super safe airplanes. We don't know the whole story, so best not to speculate. One final note, I have a half dozen friends that fly the Phenom and they all love the bird.

Should have landed on Rwy 3, uphill with the tailwind. That was their only legal option under Part 135. Or better still, gone to Flagstaff.
