WestJet is be sold to the Onex Corporation becoming a privately-held airline
WestJet Airlines Ltd. announced today it has entered into a definitive agreement that provides for its acquisition in an all-cash transaction. And Air Canada has published wedding banns with Air Transat.
As long as they don't start adding Airbus's to Westjet's fleet I don't mind. Those things are worse than the MAX.
ONEX will look at the Canadian Airbus if any of them especially if they can get YTZ opened up for jet traffic.

Don't be surprised if the current culture of WestJet disappears along with the name creating an opening for a new low cost airline between major points. Just because you own an airline doesn't mean you can run it...as proven many times before.
