Sam - why are all the photos of these planes labelled "North American Fury"? They are Hawker Sea Fury aircraft, a British plane built just before the NA jet of the same name.

David not sure, fury is the correct international code for the hawker, flight aware has some issues. I'm going by the official ICAO code

ICAO indeed shows both Hawker Fury and Hawker Sea Fury as "FURY" (the limitations of using a four-letter code). The "Fury" was a biplane flown by the RAF in the 1930s, whereas the Sea Fury was the fast monoplane mainly flown by the Royal Navy in the late 40s and into the 50s. Flightaware is obviously picking up the (wrong) maker from another database of models and makers, and getting it all wrong!

Love the photos, but hate the captions!!
