What a great experience you had!!
What a great experience you had!!
It's looks like overshoot.
Looks like a #3 wire trap in the next second. Great shot Joseph!
An A6....Before it was an ...A1?...I'm old and sometimes get designations wrong.
Now THOSE are speed brakes!! Great shot
An Intruder if I ever saw one. Great shot. Thanks
Great aircraft ! Brought back memories from when I started at Grumman in Production Stock Plant 02 less then 2 years out of high school. I some how wound up being in charge of all parts for final assy 054 dept and 051 engine dept in 1966
on the OV-! Mohawk. But I had 1 A6 Assy for the engine dept and that was the fuel cell. Little did I know then that I would spend just about 30 years with the A-6 in my career as I advanced into management. I met several A-6 pilots over the years and they all loved the plane. It was just great seeing the photo, especially with the TRAM under the front.

Robert Kap, you mentioned "TRAM". I had the distinct pleasure ? of flying the A-6C in Viet Nam 1970. I could not believe that that version gave birth to the real A-6E.
Great shot, Doc!
Perhaps taken during trials (TSTA) VACAPES?
