Per Cirium: On 12/02/2021 this 1987 Hughes 369E of the St Louis County Police Department was severely damaged during an autorotation landing at the Spirit of St Louis Airport. The helicopter's main rotor struck and severed its tail boom during that hard landing. The accident happened in daylight (1255L) and in VMC. The helicopter was returning following a local surveillance flight. -No Injuries.
