This plane seems to me a challenge to the aerodynamics laws... anyway lovely picture of this big whale..
Great picture. What is this plane used for?
The first of these flew in 1995, based on an A300-600st. The nose hinges up at the front, you can see the line of it's opening in the photo. Used for extra large cargoes. NASA has some similar ones but with 4 prop engines called Guppies, for transporting large sections of spacecraft.
@BL Goodman this plne is used by Airbus indusry to carry part of plnes from a factory to another one.. everywhere in Europe..or else. It is the little brother of the Guppy and SuperGuppy.. used for the same use.. I guess they have 747's in the States for similar uses.
Love the imaginative paint!
Sure wish it would fly into KDSM. :-)
