Apparently it's just crashed in Dallas in a mid air collision with a B-17

A terrible accident. Graphic vids on the web all show an extremely shocking and sorrowful collision. Very sincere condolences and prayers to the airmen on both aircraft (this Kingcobra and also the B-17 "Texas Raiders"), their families, and to all in the Commemorative Air Force. gcs

Thoughts to all those lost.

Bless the families. Tragic all around. Very sad to have lost 6 people in Dallas Nov, 12 2022. It is a hard time, and no one could have predicted this accident. That being said, questions need to be asked. Some pretty hard questions. Like for one, is it worth it to put 10 planes up at the same time that close together? If so? Could we change some things to make it more safe? I have seen the demonstration from Houston on 10/30/2022 and the flight was completely different from the accident flight, as a matter of fact to me, it appears the p-63/f pilot had lost situational awareness very early and in a last ditch effort not to cross the "no go line" (as this would have ended his career as a warbird pilot as well) He thought he could cut the turn, and the airboss' last words to him were "go ahead and take the lead". I think he saw the Flying fortress, and I think that he planned on overtaking fairly close on the inside and thought he would go high over the b-17 if anything. He comes really close to the B-17 at the Houston show as well, but luckily at that show he was flying a tight pattern and appeared to know where he was. This last show, the 6 minutes of ADSB data we have are incomplete and inconsistent with previous shows. Also if it was based in Conroe why has it been up at Dallas since 10/31/2022?
