From airlinegeeks.com:

"The iconic Boeing 777-200 aircraft, registered as B-HNL, was first flown by Boeing on June 12, 1994 as a test-bed aircraft and entered Cathay’s fleet in 2000. The aircraft operated a whopping 20,519 flights and recorded 49,687 hours of flying time before it was retired from the fleet in May 2018."

"The 24-year-old aircraft bears the manufacturer serial number (MSN) 001. B-HNL is the first of over a thousand 777 aircraft that have been delivered to different operators around the world."

Bravos, Greg, on finding and snapping this historic Triple Seven. There can only be one of anything that is the "World's First" so this is a 5 * keeper shot for sure. Congrats.

Thanks a bunch, Gary! While I've flown on some 747s before, I've never had a chance to be on the ground and walk around one. And the 777 is nearly as big and just as impressive when you can get up close and personal. I did not realize how far off the ground they sit while on their gear. I could walk underneath them without having to duck, and that was with my hat on. Pretty cool!
