Wrong location selected! One of these flights had departed downwind in similar light breeze a couple of weeks before so I opted for the location for a runway 23 take-off. Of course, this time the take-off was from 05 and I had to settle for a going away shot.
We’d experienced some still or very light breeze mornings which resulted in smoke haze settling across the plains. This morning was one and the sun is just making its presence known through the haze.
Taken on Nikon D7500, Sigma 100-400 @ 400 mm 1/500 @ f8.

Love the hazy cityscape background. I always enjoy seeing such backgrounds; puts the city right by the airport. KBOS photogs John M and Darryl often get downtown Boston in the background of their shots too which makes me a big fan of their snaps. A great capture here, Gavin. *****++
