Early morning, SQ278 departing off Rw 05 for Singapore.
When I first saw the series of pics on the camera monitor I thought I’d caught some reflections that ruined the shots but when I zoomed them I realised the light on the rear of the engines was actually the sun shining through the nacelles.
This effect won’t last too long as the winter sun gradually gets further south and away from the runway line. Add to that of course, it has to be a 05 take-off at the right time of morning with the aircraft angle of attack being conducive getting the effect.
