2nd of the evening's freight services departing runway 23 with light cloud partially obscuring an already very low sun.

AWESOME PHOTO. Love the depth of field and the heat from the engines declaring hot, fast air. Let's get up and outta here! Off to new places and bright horizons.
Thanks for your comment, it's very much appreciated. I was lucky to get a reasonable result as there wasn't much light to work with and it did require some post-production.

Thanks Ken. I live at a beachside suburb (not far from the airport) and we are fortunate that we should never be directly affected by those sorts of fires, but it was dreadful for those poor folks in the hills you can see in the background and then over on Kangaroo Island (sort of in the direction the aircraft is facing). We also don't forget those in our eastern states.
