Cough-Cough-Cough! Nice Olde Shot!
There is nothing...NOTHING!...like the sound of a big ol' radial starting up!! And this is from a big car fanatic who loved the sounds of 7 liter big block Chevies in CanAm race cars.
Dream plane of my childhood.
You’re right Robert…Those radials and the BB Chevy motors both have a heart throb of their own!
Great pic John.............
Neat with vintage vehicles in background.

Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo...Read the book as a kid. Enjoyed the movie!
I’ll be a recip aircraft lover forever!! Nothing compares to the beat of a piston!
That's Scott Glover's bird from the Mid America Flight Museum. Used to be called The Pacific Prowler after a WWII B-25 that crashed during the war. Scott repainted and renamed it God and Country.
Holy "Smokes," John (pun intended ... lol)! I've been away for several weeks and am now trying to catch up on the posts I missed seeing. And I sure as blazes missed some AWESOME pics of yours. Every shot in this series is extraordinary!! (Five stars don't even come close to being enough.) Absolutely premier photos. A low bow to you ....
Thank You Gary Schenauer!
