Boeing 737-700 (N409WN)
This photo, taken eight hours ago, shows Southwest's "Triple Crown One" (N409WN) as the pilots employ the various systems to slow it down after completing a 6:45 AM arrival on RTIA's runway 16R at the end of a flight from KLAS. Even though it was so early in the morning, the sun was already blazing down upon the airport grounds. A thin layer of smoke from wildfires burning in other parts of the west had settled in to the Truckee Meadows between the Virginia Range Mountains east of Reno and the Sierra Nevada west of Reno and that thin smoke layer somewhat diffused the brilliant direct sunlight enough for me to click a properly-lit photo series of "Triple Crown One" as it landed and taxied.

This is the second SWA fleetbird to wear the TC1 special paint. This special scheme was originally painted on N647SW about a decade ago (back in 1996 or 1997) as a tribute to Southwest's employees. Southwest Airlines had won US commercial aviation's "Triple Crown" (Fewest Customer Complaints, Best On-Time Service, and Best Baggage Handling) for several consecutive years so as a tribute to its employees, this livery was devised. The scheme was repainted on to N409WN a while ago.
