No identifying markings (possibly 17-0601 but probably not)

At present, there are only a few of these (scuttlebutt says only 3 so far) in the US military inventory. However, scuttlebutt also says there are more scheduled to be delivered within the next 12-18 months.
This one had no identifying markings. The first one ever delivered displayed 17-0601. The odds are that this is NOT that aircraft because there have (supposedly) been two or three more delivered since then, and this is most likely one of those.
Based on several various snippets of info I have learned from a couple of different sources, I have conjectured a reason for its visit here. However, not being able to state with certainty my supposition, I will not offer it here. I can say that this aircraft is home-based at Pope. Make of that what you will.
