Nicely done, Gary!
Until the new service between Reno and Long Beach started last month, visits by Allegiant's Airbus and Boeing fleetbirds were very rare (limited to an occasional stop here by chartered flights) because AAY routinely used Mad Dogs on its RNO routes. When the new service began, Reno saw its first regularly scheduled Allegiant Airbus visits.
Greg ... Howdy, and much Thanks to you for both this comment and the previous comment on that "Semper Fi" pic. Both are very much appreciated. And while I'm on here, I will be sending a better snap of "Semper Fi" to you (and all the others who have established email contact) but I may not get to it until tomorrow now. I've got two "sudden" photo shoot opportunities that will have me busy for the rest of today, so pls watch your email tomorrow. (Thumbs Up) :-)
Great shot Gary! I love scrolling along the fuselage to see who's looking down. Occasionally I'll see a thumbs up and once even a handwritten sign in the window! Great stuff!
You're welcome, Gary. And I'll be looking for that "Semper Fi" snap whenever you get a chance!
Greeting Gary, thanks for another fantastic shot. However, I ran into a term I am not familiar with in your comment. What are 'Mad Dogs?'
Thanks Jim
Outstanding shot, Gary!
SAM, "Mad Dog" is a slang term that some wag came out with several years ago and it has stuck with the community. It refers to the loud noise MD81-90s make when landing and on takeoff.
