Photo was taken eight years ago (2014). Since then, this aircraft may have been relocated to inside the newest display hangar AND it may also have been repainted from the jungle camo scheme seen here to a different scheme. I cannot say with certainty if it has been moved or if it has been repainted. However, for this aircraft, as seen here in 2014, the following is fact >> After being the first C-130 to be converted into a Spectre Gunship, it saw its first use as a gunship in the Vietnam conflict. And it was EXTREMELY "effective" doing what it was being flown to do. Just ask any Vietnam vet (from either side) ....

Gary, I was there in 2019 on the way back from KOSH and this C-130 was still outside. The newest hangers were full at that time. Hope to get back there this year and check again!

Hi Darryl, and thank you. (Wave)
Tom .. >> Howdy. And Thank You to you also for confirming that it is still there and where it can be found. I am hoping to return there again too. My visit in 2014 was only for two full days and I had not realized exactly how much there was to view and learn there. As I discovered once we got there, I could have gladly spent four or even five days there (and I think the retired Navy officer who was also on our trip would have enjoyed an extra day or two); however, our travel schedule was firm so we could not stay longer. And I envy you that you've also been to KOSH. That event is a Bucket List trip of mine that (I realistically know) will never be fulfilled. Thanks again for the info re: this Spectre Gunship's location and Best Wishes to you, Tom. (gcs)
