Billings' N401AJ, a CH-47D Chinook, is about to touch down on the RTS ramp after a full morning's work fighting the North Fire.

Following a break for lunch and a few moments to relax, the crew of this Billings Chinook took it back into the battle against the wildfire.

We had a chinook in Germany where the #1 engine sucked the axial compressor blades all the way back to the centrifical compressor and it continued to run but not well. Lycoming and chinook is a great combo.
