Van's RV-8 (N707AA)

John and Patti Stahr's "American Angel," a 2012 Vans RV-8 (N707AA), is viewed here in the quiet darkness of the pits on the KRTS ramp at the 2018 National Championship Air Races.
The stunningly fabulous custom painted artwork of "American Angel" is intended as a "... tribute to all the angels that fly with us ... always!".
Every area of the aircraft is painted to show a different scene. The US Navy Blue Angels are honored with a gorgeous paint design on the port side wing (**), there are different artistic paintings on each side of the empennage, and there are painted scenes on the underside, the engine cowling, and even on the wheel pants. Absolutely awesome artistry!
