Airbus A319 (N822AW) - Although this shot of N822AW on its s/final approach to RTIAs runway 16R is not the first photo of this A319 to be posted into the FA gallery, it IS the first picture of it to be posted AFTER its visit to Roswell ... where it was repainted. And it broke my heart a little when I caught it here ... because N822AW used to be clothed in the Nevada "Battle Born" livery. That special scheme always looked fantastic; it was literally impossible to take a bad photo of N822AW when it wore that "Battle Born" paint. But as can be seen here, that special livery is now gone, and I think I heard that the Arizona scheme will also disappear very soon. I liked them; sad to see them being erased.

That is heartbreaking. I caught this special aircraft at Ft. Lauderdale a little while back, so sad it's gone now!

Jim, for your info in case you have not yet heard ... The US Airways heritage schemebird, an A321, came out of the paint barn a couple months back. N578UW shows American titles but is wearing the US Airways livery and will stay in US Airways clothes.
