During the 2016 Spirit of St Louis Air Show. My one and only time seeing it, and unfortunately my last.

To survive all that she did only to end in such a sad way. It was almost being taken out by friendly fire. R.I.P. Texas Raider and her crew.
My late wife loved airplanes of all types. She always said that we should not be flying the few that are left. For they are so precious.
