A design that dates back to the 80's and is being worn out. If the US gets into a shooting war on the other side of the globe, the Air Force will be hurting for large cargo airlift capability, C-5's are over 50 years old and short of spare parts which keep part of the fleet grounded. as are the C-17's MAC is not what it used to be.
