A real race jet! FL280, lightly loaded, M.88 between LGA and MIA. Anybody on here go faster in the 727?
Flew fast, long, high and stopped short - my favorite from my cockpit days!
CAL had 10 100's that had dash nine engines. Rocket ships. Climb at .86.
Classic airframe. When you think of iconic commercial airplanes, you think Constellation, B-747 and the B-727. I was lucky to plumb the 200 at United before they retired them all after 911.
The "three holer" was a great machine...a real performer
