Douglas DC-7 (N838D) - KRDD - Tanker 60 (N838D) of Erickson Aero Transport returning from Weed, CA during the horrible Sept 2014 wildfire. This plane was loaded up in 10 minutes and off it went again - all of the Pilots did a magnificent job we heard later of stopping the spread of fire with precision Phos-chek drops at treetop level, covering homes and everything in sight as this had the potential of becoming a major conflagration in Sept 2014. Many homes were lost due to an idiot, and I mean an IDIOT, starting a grass fire on purpose, to get even with an apartment complex that evicted him. The stupid part was the wind was blowing in the opposite direction of what he wanted to do, and the fire burned the opposite way. I mean were talking one big dummy here.
