The Yankee Air Museum DC-3 "Yankee Doodle"

Fantastic!
Nice shot! I've not seen one in this paint scheme since I was a young boy at RAF Wethersfield in Essex, England in the early sixties. F-100's, T-33's and the lone C-47 dotted the flight line. I could see the ramp from our house and I was always quite thrilled when I saw the Gooney Bird in use.
I love DC-3s more (almost) than my numerous girlfriends and this is one of the fines examples now flying. Thanks a lot.
Excellent photo, brings back lots of memories going up and down California on the "Sunshine Courier"
C-47 from Beale to March and stopping at all bases in between. If the fog rolled in we had to set'er down where ever we could. Sun didn't shine we didn't fly. Great fun.

The best.
Oscar Brand once wrote " ... in a rainstorm you could drown..." and of it's stamina " ...one wing askew and still she flew, the DC 21/2..." singing about some of the legendary aircraft of WWII. For me it is super special as my first multi-engine.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Best aircraft Douglas ever produced.
Stunning photo of a classic bird!
