The Blue Angels ... how do they do it!
Helps explain where the aircraft actually are during the fly by. Most shots are make it appear the two aircraft are vertically aligned (gear to gear, belly to belly), which is a basically impossible action as neither pilot could safely see the other aircraft. I *suspect* that lead is actually he one flying upside down. A good lead is easier to follow. A great lead can be followed, even if he's upside down! ;) Been almost 550 years since I flew formation (all of us 'right side' up!). Can some one confirm my *suspicions*?
