Roland, this is not a DC-3, but a Vickers Viking
I used to ride on Vickers Vikings like this on BWIA back in the 1950s, usually between Trinidad and Tobago.
This was an ill desgined aircraft, of 163 built 53 crashed. It could not compete with the safety and much better economical operation of the DC-3.
