This Hurricane(YO-A) as well as an Avenger, Spitfire, Stinson 108 and and Auster were destroyed in a hangar fire at Hamilton in 1993, the Lancaster was barely pulled out in time (supposedly fuel was boiling in the tanks)

Very nice shot of this classic here Sam, 5*s here.

Sam I remember seeing last week that you commented about having an email in the the FA staff about those UP photos that were posted a number of times and you said something about the company having some sort of deal and allowing it. If you go to and sort by the most popular staff picks on FA, two of those photos show up as numbers one and two. My question is, do you know if that was part of the deal or did someone do something to the system to get those two photos that high up. Thanks for any info.

Mark, being a multi-million dollar company wheels up could have paid someone off...hope not...but it just irks me that someone who doesn't take photos or a part of any discussions gets such high publicity...
Many people including myself stand in the snow and rain for hours hopin to get that perfect shot...and at the end of the day we get beaten out by someone copying and pasting 47x...and no proper credits to the original photographer or a link to the website either...
Ok I'll shut up now...
