Yes, they definably are the loudest, worked with two each at NASA AMES and truly believe why my hearing is shot. (years running engine test cells didn't help)
Not fun to maintain, everything is wing off engine out, vis-a-versa. But I love to watch them fly and we had pilots that could make them dance.
