It will be interesting to see how the feds handle this as marijuana is still illegal at the federal level. If he came in on a flight from another state then it's interstate transport of a controlled substance. The feds could go really hard on him if they want to make a point about it to the states that are "legalizing" it. They probably won't though.

I'm aboard this flight yesterday, and got rebooked to Burbank instead of LAX. The passenger who did this was from an flight 1-hour earlier to LAX but it got canceled after everyone has boarded in which I am a passenger as well. After we were rebooked into the diverted flight to LA, this happened and diverted to San Jose because of him. I hope he'll spend time in jail and got banned from flying for the rest of his life should he ever gets out of jail as he endangered everyone onboard.

The flight:

"The remaining 32 passengers were placed on other aircraft to continue their trips." A SWA flight out of SFO at 15:30 with 30 odd pax? That doesn't sound quite right.

The 30 odd pax is a underestimation, I can very much assure you of that, the media is wrong on that count, because this flight contain passsengers from both flight 1211 (which is the earlier flight to which I'm supposed to be on but ended up on 1250 instead because of the cancellation) and the original flight 1250 passengers on it. There is absolutely no way to have only 30 odd pax on it.

That sounds more like the SWA I know....
