Even if you accept the validity of airport bars being culpable, don't think you're going to get get airport authorities to give up that revenue stream. $$$$$

Ultimately it is up to Ryanair's gate agents to decide if a passenger is too drunk to board, and the cabin crew to decide if they should be served more alcohol after they board.

Unfortunately there is considerable pressure on the cabin crews to sell profitable products like alcohol and meals to travelers. They are being asked to maximize revenue for Ryanair while also needing to maintain a safe and pleasant environment -- that is a delicate balance.

Simply blaming the airport bars is a denial of their own responsibilities.

Airlines aren't going to give up their alcohol $ either. End of story.

After making two trips out of Ibiza Airport, it is not hard to note Ryanair problems are on flights to the island, not out of it. Those passengers leaving are too exhausted and burned out to do anything more than board then pass out.
