I'm sorry, but this is a completely fake picture with the Moon added. A 231ft wingspan 747 flying STRAIGHT overhead contrailing at, let's say, 30,000 ft (they don't contrail much below that), would subtend an angle of 0.44 degrees. Since the Moon averages about 0.5 degrees apparent diameter, how can the Moon be smaller than the plane? Also, the 747 in this photo isn't even straight overhead, meaning the plane should be even SMALLER relative to the Moon. This picture is not possible without PhotoShop.
NOT Fake! I photographed this from my cockpit window at 35,000 feet as the Korean B-747 passed 1000 feet over us in the opposite direction. Tom Pawlesh
That's not a B742. HL-7490 is a B744
