So.... when I take off the mask and sit in my seat and eat the burger and drink the soda I bought in the airport, I'm not spreading anything? Then I'll take the full meal and please upsize it.

Unfortunately, Dr F. just had to get into the news again today. It is reported: "Over the next few weeks, the U.S. should expect an increase in cases from the BA.2 variant, Dr. Anthony Fauci told ABC News, but it may not lead to as severe a surge in hospitalizations or deaths.... Taken together, it's why Fauci and other experts, including CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, have increasingly predicted that elderly people will need a second booster shot soon. The Food and Drug Administration began reviewing data from Pfizer on the safety and efficacy this week, and its advisory panel will debate if and when the additional booster shot is necessary in the coming weeks.... A resurgence of cases could also mean Americans are asked to wear masks again, which Fauci predicted would be an uphill battle." I did find it interesting how Coivd was a non-news issue once in recent weeks.

It has been recently admitted that originally science showed N95 masks were helpful but there was a deficient in supply. In order to keep what was available for 1st responders, public was sold a bill of goods being told to wear the hook behind the ears style. Not because of effectiveness, but because that's what was available. Guess the thinking was anything is better than nothing. I found it amusing the 1st time I flew. Had to maintain social distancing all throughout the airport - even boarding in groups of 10, all socially distanced. Then we took our seats, and we were, as usual, shoulder to shoulder, rubbing elbows with strangers, packed in like sardines. But...everyone was wearing these homemade or store-bought skimpy masks, no one wearing an N95 mask.

Neighbor has to use London vacation that was paid just week before shut down or lose all $$. Family of 4, all vaxxed, will need: 1. covid test 2 days before departing USA, book and pre-pay for covid test to be taken within 2 days of arrival in London plus have data on Locator Form. 2. until this test comes back negative have to quarantine but fortunately can take the test same day as arrive.and 3. take covid test day before departing London to enter USA. Covid testing has now become big business. Least expensive options will cost this family about $1,000.

This reminded me of my experience. Leaving Amman, Jordan. In the duty free store I was chatting with travel companion - wanted to buy lots of the Valentino Oud perfume for gifts for family, but my pocket book limited me. An hour later at the gate a woman was speaking loudly, getting upset at attendant at gate. Her 80 year old mother was going 1st class to Dallas where she'll be met by her son. Mom only speaks and reads Arabic. Daughter wants someone assigned to assist Mom - especially at 4 hour layover in Frankfurt where there was also a change in terminals. I cautiously interrupted, said I was going to DFW via Frankfurt and offered to help her Mom. She offered to pay and I refused. She explained things to her Mom, I gave daughter all my contact info, and she then left. As we were almost boarding, she came back with 2 HUGE bags filled with every Valentino product sold in the duty free store. Seems like she had been in duty free store and he had heard me earlier, this was her

I believe something should be done - fine + no fly. My question is why isn't this done when any passengers says they were groped or fondled by a fellow passenger? Seems like I read about female passengers being groped by a male passengers who was sitting next to or behind the female. Is it because the female did not complain until the end of flight or ???? Not taking a stand, just curious. I've also wondered if these women who were groped ever made a ruckus - know if it were me, my girls, or even my friends, we'd stand up and shout for help and yell that the passenger was touching. And I'm not talking about an accidental brush on the arm because we are packed in like sardines. I'm talking about inappropriate touching - by anyone - male or female.

Worst case example of when AA said flight cancelled because of weather. Austin-Dallas-London - AA cancelled Austin Dallas leg 4 hours before take off. Reason - weather. Said couldn't get me out of Austin for 3 days! But said if could get to Dallas could keep leg to London. I changed to later flight going out of Dallas to London (AA "graciously" didn't charge me a change fee per the agent!), no other carriers had open seats seats to Dallas since so many from the cancelled AA flight were scrambling to get out, so took the express bus to downtown Dallas and Uber to DFW. Not a bit of bad weather along the way. And an international flight is not one that jus t comes in and turns around - so can't say incoming flight had bad weather somewhere along the way. This is just 1 example of many where AA flat out lied. Neighbor retired from AA and said it happens. I agree - American is the worst. No, that's not a teenage response That's why if I have no choice and must fly AA, I always bu

I just received my second shot. Was told in 7-10 days I'd be about 95% protested. So...why do I need to take a Covid test. Yes, there's that 5% chance. However, the flu vaccine is rarely better than 95% and its communicable, as is bronchitis, lice, etc- are we going to start testing for every disease?
