Air NZ to begin new Texas service from December 15 2015

Well finally the kiwi airline Air NZ has the go ahead to fly to Houston, Texas beginning December this year. Air NZ fourth B789 ZK-NZD joins the fleet

Another Boeing 787-919 has being delivered into the air new zealand fleet making this the fourth B789 to be delivered. ZK-NZD quietly made it touch down at NZAA in the early hours of Thursday morning last week from The Boeing airplane company in Seattle. These are the old registrations of there DC8-52 fleet from the late 1965 and 1970's which the aircraft are registered as. ZK-NZD is on the NZAA/Shanghai Pudong route now. The airfare wars between the domestic carriers within New Zealand has not effected air new zealand at all. In fact it has back fired on it's rival Qantas/Jetstar who lowered airfares withing NZ. Air NZ forecasts $400mln first half pre-tax profit

United is returning to New Zealand for the first time in 13 years with a new San Francisco-Auckland service due to start on July 3 2016.
