Well finally the kiwi airline Air NZ has the go ahead to fly to Houston, Texas beginning December this year. They will be using the 777-200 aircraft for this route and not the 787-919's. tickets have being reduced to $999.00 NZ. Well it has being announced by Jetstar Qantas off shoot budget carrier will be taking on anz in a airfare war to regional centers using bombardier aircraft. Another Boeing 787-919 has being delivered into the air new zealand fleet making this the fourth B789 to be delivered. ZK-NZD quietly made it touch down at NZAA in the early hours of Thursday morning last week from The Boeing airplane company in Seattle. These are the old registrations of there DC8-52 fleet from the late 1965 and 1970's which the aircraft are registered as. ZK-NZD is on the NZAA/Shanghai Pudong route now. The airfare wars between the domestic carriers within New Zealand has not effected air new zealand at all. In fact it has back fired on it's rival Qantas/Jetstar who lowered airfares withing NZ. The price of a discount seat on Jetstar or Qantas NZ from AKL.WLG was $69.00 one way anyday of the week. Air New Zealand has now come out with the Koru fare on the same route for $29.00 one way this also includes the night rider fares at the same price. This is a real nice thing for a soccer team to do for a young girl who's father Andrew Nari is missing on board the doomed MH370 which disappeared a year ago and has not being found. But yet to be found. Liverpool fans will be so heart wrenched to see how there soccer team who plays Malaysia tonight had visited Maria and to pay there respects to her and her family. United is returning to New Zealand for the first time in 13 years with a new San Francisco-Auckland service due to start on July 3 2016. The flights will initially operate three times a week with Boeing 787-8s before increasing to daily from October 30 2016 with the larger 787-9 Dreamliner. fedex will be retiring th grand three holler DC10-30 which is at the age of 45 years old this DC10 has served a long haed life with a few different carriers and was once the most advanced aircraft in the world in it's era back in the early seventies.
