I think the point to be made here is that this is in no way similar to the auto industry’s “bailout” by the last administration. While every last CENT of those loans were repaid to the American people, I’ve seen no such reporting that the current administration is demanding similar repayment. If I’m mistaken (& I could very well be), please send me a link to it, without insults, if you’d be so kind. It just confuses me when folks yell from a soapbox “NO SOCIALISM!!!” When they are the 1st ones to expect disaster relief, bailouts, trade war subsidies, FDA oversight, a &1000.00 check from Uncle Sam, etc., etc..... You can’t have your cake, & eat it too, folks. Taking ANY type of “handout” or Federal Assistance “ is SOCIALISM. Be careful when screaming against “Socialism”. It’s the foundation of EVERY FEDERAL OFFICE IN EXISTENCE.

For pointing out that this administration has made some horrible mistakes regarding our preparations for this pandemic, I’ve been accused of “trolling” and being “hateful”. When did historical FACTS become obsolete?!? Whatever side of the isle you’re on, this should infuriate you. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-fire-pandemic-team/

Do I believe restricting travel is the right thing to do? ABSOLUTELY... I’m disgusted that trump conveniently excluded those areas of his European golf resorts however. Please FACT CHECK THAT BEFORE REPLYING. GOOGLE IT.

Regardless of the length of time similar bundles have been in service without serious loss of life, it’s now recognized as a “weak link”, & should absolutely be treated as such. To turn a blind eye to the issue is like saying “I never wore a seatbelt in my life, & I’m fine!” Sooner or later, EVERYTHING mechanical fails. It’s a fact of life that’s absolute. Disasters are almost always a chain of events, & removing what is now recognized as a weak link shouldn’t even be a topic of discussion. That no souls have been lost as a result YET, is fortunate. For those that say “Leave it well enough alone.” are hiding their heads in the sand. Fix it. Period.

This brought back memories of my own Olde Man, & my hat is off to the Crews that made it happen. I don’t get misty eyed very often, but this one got me good. Empathy & a little compassion go a long way, & make a huge difference. My father used to say “Do something nice for someone today, but don’t let anyone know you did it.” I miss that man!

That was my 1st thought! An insulated hot/cold no-spill mug/cup goes for about $15 bucks. That’s a hell of a lot cheaper than a shut-down!

Len, I seriously don’t see how this can be used as a comparison with the endless list of potentially deadly flaws overlooked with the MAX 8&9. At all. This is a serious issue, to be sure, and if it turns out that it was a known issue, and covered up, THEN & only then can it be compared to the “cluster” that Boeing created. Let’s see what’s uncovered as a Root Cause & Resolution. Personally, I don’t trust Boeing’s MAX’s or Dreamliners (Boeing’s own production manager has BEGGED his own family and friends not to fly on them) as far as I can throw them.

Richard, PLEASE do a TINY bit of homework on a subject before ridiculing this young lady. The FACT IS, is that she SAILED the Atlantic for 3 weeks to get here, to NOT add to the problem, and travel responsibly. If you MUST post a comment, try to make them less mean, for crying out loud. A quick look at your posts makes me wonder why you’re so angry with everyone, all the time! Take a deep breath, and try Googling a subject before posting once in a while. You may find it’s not what you thought. Fact check. Fact check. Fact check!!!
