Sure is pretty! My heart still belongs to the 747.

I can almost predict that at some time and in some way the foldable wing tips will cause a problem. They may add the step to the flightlist but, like in other steps, it may be somehow be over looked just like not deploying the flaps in some very famous accidents. I hope that I am wrong but pilots are as human as you and I and it could happen. I so appreciate that Boing is not rushing delivery on this model. They must have learned from the 737Max fiasco.

What's up with these folding wings?
Is everybody suddenly in the Navy?

They have to fit into the legacy terminal detentions limiting the width of the wings.

Probably right. There have been more than a few naval aircraft with folding wings that have managed to get airborne withe the wings still folded.

Sure hope this works out well for Boeing. $442 million is a lot of money. Surprised that no American based airline companies haven't ordered any yet. Perhaps the sting of the 737 is still biting them a bit

looks just like the one that's been in the air for over 2 decades. No wider = just as uncomfortable in 3-4-3 config, still forcing people to upgrade.

Wonder if people will be more civil on this plane than others?
