Southwest Airlines is doling out industrial-grade coats, gloves and face masks and canceling curbside check-in at Chicago's Midway International Airport. On the other hand, airmen serviced B-24’s, other aircraft out in the open during WW2 in Alaska and the years afterward w/B-36’s during the dead of Winter. Probably did the same w/B-52’s, KC-135’s, B-1’s @ northern tier Air Force Bases.

Yes, and I flew a de Havilland twin otter in and out of Yellowknife several times in the dead of winter. But I, like the airmen you cite, had arctic weather gear suited to the climate. I'm not sure just what point you are trying to make.

You will be taken to the pc woodshed for inappropriate terminology dating back to 20 years.. Even though you are probably correct we have to call it "Climate Change" permitting poockets to be picked under all circumstances.

One thing's for sure......no stories this week in places like MSP, ORD, MDW, or DTW having had rampers fall asleep in the cargo holds.
