So what is your point I see none other than the fact someone with too much time on there hands is trying to make something of it. Another nothing post.

Yep! I saw a black cat the other day...I wasted time reading this post.

Agreed. Numerology just doesn't add up. :-)

Why do you care so much? You seem to be the one with too much time on your hands if you are posting a comment on a "nothing" post. This page is for people to post aviation related articles, this is an aviation related article. Some of the people who post on this page need to relax.

You need to relax. And not be afraid of the numbers NOW 2-8! Thats Two thru eight. This is NOT an aviation related article. Articles like this waste our time, by us having to respond to inane "articles" because we have to inform the ignorant. Otherwise, people just read what you write.

I am relaxed. I am not "afraid" of any numbers. I just don't understand how someone can complain about an article like this wasting time, yet, you are taking the time to post a comment. If you don't like it then ignore it and move on.

I enjoy wasting your time! Because now, I'll be wasting your time because I am responding to an inane post to begin with. I do enjoy pointing out waste of time, when I have time to waste! Thanks for wasting all of our time by posting meaningless dribble, and us having to sort thru it all, by reading it! All at the same time we thought there might actually be something insightfull to be gained. I really don't care what you post/write, but I do care about what other uninformed people such as yourself "know" about the aviation industry. Anyone can post anything...just doesn't make you an expert, or for that matter, any knowledge of what you post. I'm still waiting for the reason you posted this to begin with. Interesting, not really, enhancing safety, not, guess you just wanted to be heard. About a complete waste of time. Enjoy the publicity!

Also, spend and not waste, more of your time getting a instrument rating.

I never claimed to know, or to be an expert in aviation. I am an aviation nthusiast and I have a desire to work in the airline industry and to gain my pilots licsense to the highest rating I can.

By the way, I didn't post this article. the poster is named in a little grey box to the right of the title. I hope you read your checklists, captain!

** Note to self: "Don't book flights using # 191" ... So noted.

Never fly a flight that has a #1 in it, or a #9 in it, or yet another number! Rob, you got it right! :)

Well, I'm not into numerolgy or superstitious either, and as far as the 191's, lot's of folks dead but they would be just as dead if it were 192.Does look like the Airlines would retire them though, just to keep some wag with too much time from dragging them up again.

This is a BS "post" about nothing! I fly (THAT is I FLY as a Capt.) on normally sched. routes, that have any or all those numbers either in a row or otherwise. Look up any flight accidents the had "232" "5050" "1212" or any other combination, guess what... at some point, those numbers, 1-9 will be there! Geez, what a waste of time! This is NOT an aviation related article, and YES, I'm spending time responding to shut down the total BS that people "purport" to know anything about it to the general public or those of us actually in the industry! BTW, I also own a black cat, occasionally bet on the number 13, am afraid of leap year, and have evil monkeys living under my bed. NOT. Cope a clue.

This forum/website should be about people who actually know about the industry. Otherwise, keep your un-informed, dumb-a** posts to a minimum, and let the people who are involved enjoy real forum conversation.

Flight 191 which i posted on earlier really is a bad flight number, Delta 191 L-1011 Tristar, American Airlines 191 DC-10, Com Air 191 CRJ-100, now JetBlue 191. Thank god not being a crash but still. This flight number should never be used again.

Well, there was good came out of them regardless, in particular the DAL191. As a result of that one we got doppler and all the wind shear stuff. Some of these younger guys have never flown without that stuff, but you are right, as I said below, the numbers do need to go away.

I might add that Teddy Conners was a good friend. He was PIC on that one

Well, I got in a hurry and spelled his last name wrong, but he was a natural born flying machine. I remember listening to the ATC audio on his inbound; just sat and squalled about an hour. I was at DFW a day or so later and they were still poking over everything. It was hell having to come in over the top of that mess, knowing what had happened. what is really so sad is that it took something like that to put Doppler and all the other stuff we now take for granted on the fast track.
