Aeroflot Pilot Dies Following Mid Air Heart Attack
A Russian Aeroflot pilot has died following a mid-air heart attack. The 49 year old co-pilot was flying between Moscow and the Black Sea resort of Anapa. Sadly, efforts to revive the individual were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at Rostov, where the aircraft had made an emergency landing. Rest In Peace. I hope he loved his job like the rest of us - and died doing what he loved. Prayers to his family.
Such incidents should be seriously taken into account by those in authority who might be considering single pilot part 121 operations. (Or even 135 ?).

How sad for his family and friends...sometimes heart issues do not automatically show up in physicals,especially if this person had no prior symptoms or episodes..
Some years ago my wife forced me to go to the emergency room because "something didn't feel right" that morning. I was in the clear, but my family has a history of heart disease. As the doctor told me there is no way to predict a heart attack. One can also be "healthy as a horse" and a heart attack can happen.
On that, I feel for his family and my thoughts are with their loss.
