I guess so people are just so important that they are willing to pay $12 for 45 minutes of internet access.

I can't even open my laptop all the way on their 757's, why would I want to make myself even more uncomfortable by attempting it on one of their CRJ's?

I agree, I can barely fit in one of the seats much less have room to open a laptop or even IPAD.

umm not 45 mins anymore... ORD-SLC 3+ hrs in a CRJ even in best row 2 it is still cramped. My knees hurt thinking about that.

The three folks above have it exactly right. I am a fat guy and unless I get an upgrade on Delta, I can only open my computer by about an inch. I find it interesting that I cannot use my Internet card inflight since it interferes with communications, yet Delta's connections do not. Maybe revenue is the reason. Can you imagine the rush off the plane whentge install pay toilets as the. Flight announces "for those of you that can hold it until those with weak blatters leave the plane.

Your internet card runs off of the cell network... Their wifi is via satellite. I have a tough time getting cell coverage above 060, good luck getting a signal at fl350.

@ Paul.. Airlines don't regulate cell phone and internet usage just to make it so you have to use their's (there is probably some truth to that) but this way they can control when you are using it, because they don't want people talking on cell phones or using laptop computers when the aircraft is in the most dangerous phases of flight, so that passengers can listen and not be stuck by a computer or not hear something because they are talking on a phone

Paul, I'm a skinny guy and I have to go through yoga-like contortions to try to access and use my laptop - and if the person in front of me puts their seat pack it's impossible (plus it crushes my knees). Give me more room and I'll be glad to pay for and use internet access.

I can see the issue of space on a CRJ, as they are not very roomy, unless you are on a 700/900 in first. As for the Embraer 170/190 models, there is plenty of room to open a small-midsize laptop to surf the web. Some of us appreciate wifi on a 2-3 hour connection flights.

The space issue is worse on 757s, 767s. I agree with you on the smaller Embraer jets where there is more seat space (like Jet Blue uses).
